Backstreet Boy:
Inspired by Ben Legg, Eric Bone, and a few others, this is one of the two new series BAOC is introducing for 2013.

The idea is to provide a fun wilderness map experience for new and experienced navigators alike, with a mass start, and lots of socializing.

We will have 6 of these events in 2013 and see how it goes. We are marketing as much as we can to all the local channels.

Why do this? To have stepping stones into "traditional orienteering," to broaden our reach and pull in people who might like it but wouldn't necessarily go to a traditional orienteering event.

so, Wilderness Scramble and Street Scramble® are two separate series, by two separate organizations, operating both in the Bay Area... correct ?

Street Scramble events are held in Seattle and in the Bay Area. Wilderness Scramble and Street Scramble are separate series put on by separate organizations. The rules of Wilderness Scramble and Street Scramble are similar, but Street Scramble hews somewhat closer to International Rules of Rogaining.
