Was grumpy O cat speaking to you? He'd be equally impressed with some of my performance.

disorienteerer:
Thankfully. no. My mistake was "just" 10 minutes on control #11... :-)

I can't believe this hasn't sparked any more Grumpy O Cat memes! Is everyone asleep out there?

This is brilliant. Soon orienteering will be marketed to all the niche corners of the interwebs.

For what it's worth, the Success Kid one up there describes my first ever A-Meet race (Red Course at Cle Elum, WA in 2005).

I just assumed that there were descriptions on the map, and it wasn't until I was attacking #1 that I realized that I had no idea what I was looking for. It was either keep going without them, or waste 10 minutes going back to get them.

I'd only been orienteering about a year, so I felt just like success kid when my splits didn't show an MSP.

I created this one back in October, after a particularly mistake-laden day...

Graeme - hilarious :-D

I'd like to make up one for the novelty event we ran today but only about three people on AP would get it.

Does anyone know where to find that poster of 6 (I think) photos about "O" along the lines of "What you think you do"; What your friends think you do", etc.

Cristina created that one. I don't know where the original lives, but there's a copy on RMOC's Facebook page: http://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3607198939530...
