Nice one Frank. The water can do that to your cycling legs in the middle of summer let alone in Sept. If you kick with them more it can help because the blood will go to them. Take note Tom.

Thanks guys. Good advice on the kicking, should have kicked more from the start as they didn't work during the last 200m.

Well worth doing it today, its made me work harder on my calf and its taken a race to find out I can run. I owe my physio a beer for convincing me to keep going despite symptoms that suggest I'm making matters worse. Early days, but 5.2 min/k on a muddy hilly course is a damn good starting place, I had to triple check the printout at the event!!!
