Barring an ice storm is this a sure thing, dates are solid, etc? Is a schedule available? Airline tickets are dirt cheap right now and would like to buy.

Georgia Navigator Cup including Southeastern Interscholastic Championships back to its regular MLK weekend schedule. Jan 19-21, 2013.

2-Day Classic A-Meet on Saturday and Sunday. Awards based upon 2 day total time. Usual OUSA classes. Additional awards for both individuals and teams in Interscholastic competition.

Extreme-O competition on Monday: Extreme-O is patterned after a three-day military competition held in a member NATO country each year. Typically, competitors orienteer from several different types of maps, including aerial photographs, quads, and topographical maps. Past events have included rope bridge crossings, canoe legs, culvert controls, memory legs, and other interesting tests. There will be a short course and a long course. Due to the nature of the event, advance registration is a must and space is limited to approximately 75. (Couples or groups (incl. families) count as one). The event begins at 9:00a.m. on Monday at Hard Labor Creek State Park at the main HQ Group Shelter. All participants must attend a briefing on Sunday, following the GNC Sunday Award ceremony at meet HQ.

All on the Camp Rutledge map at Hard Labor Creek State Park as in 2010.

Check-in Friday afternoon. Training map and course available.

Full details to be posted at www.gaorienteering.org within the next couple of weeks.

If you are going to GNC you should extend your trip a week and head south to Florida. There will be two days of orienteering at Oscar Scherer State Park in Venice FL Jan 26-27 and if there is any demand mid week events can be established in the Orlando area and/or you can train on brand new maps in the Venice FL area at no more cost than vetting the field work on these maps.
An ideal vacation for Sn'O' birds.
I have all the information.
