I helped with a CTV interview of Emily Kemp yesterday. It was amazing how good a job they did and great to see something that really shows just how much of a competitive sport orienteering really is.
You can find the video
here.
Very nice. Great job Emily!
Great job. Thanks for posting.
One of the best interviews I've seen. Good mix of video and the message of the sport totally gets through. Well done.
This is an excellent interview. Great job Emily, Canadian, and CTV!
CTV did manage really a terrific interview. It did a good job of showing what orienteering is to a broad audience, all with an enthusiastic ambassador for our sport. Thanks Emily (and the chasing camera)!
2nd best aspect of interview: it was conducted outdoors!
(1st, of course: Emily)
Just more proof that Emily is a great ambassador for O. Good job CTV! So much better than the morning show a few weeks ago.
Awesome. Great work guys.
What I also like about this interview is the message to other elites - you gotta train a lot of quality hours a week!
Way to go, Emily! Yours was an excellent and articulate interview.
Thanks everyone!! I've never been interviewed by a former olympian so I was really nervous and felt like I was garbling words the whole time... at least they managed to pick out the comprehensible parts ;)
the filming part was a good workout as well! :)
Wow night and day as compared to the bumbling functioning alcoholic that interviewed her back in July. Congratulations laBaguette! Temendous bit of tape that sheds a great light on our sport without "nerding things up". Nice job to Canadian and the CTV producer as well for assembling this great piece.
Thanks all,
I can't claim that much credit for the end results. James Richardson set up the interview, Emily did the interview, and bigE put the interview on youtube. The only think I can take credit for is keeping up with Emily when the cameraman handed me a GoPro ;) I just went along because Emily asked me to bring her some controls and it sounded like a fun way to spend a part of my morning. It turned out to take all morning - but that's the luxury of being a full time athlete :D
