Discussion: Banquet and T-Shirts

Tickets to the Saturday banquet at the North American Orienteering Championships are just about sold out (we are at 180 and have a limit of 200) so if you were planning to come, don't delay or you might be disappointed. You don't need to be staying at PEEC to come to the banquet. If you have already registered and would like to add the banquet, please contact the registrar. Details available at www.naoc2012.org.

Also, orders for t-shirts will be going in September 10. We will order a few extra of several sizes (but not all), so to guarantee a t-shirt in your size, please get your order in before then.

Is there an easier way to order a T shirt than to go back through the entry system?

Simply, tell registrar size of the T-shirt, Qty., and pay via PayPal (contact registrar for instructions).

I registered after the banquet was sold out - and appreciated the excellent website adding the option of being put on a waiting list automatically. The question is, how likely is it that cancellations would happen? Should I just make plans to get a ride for a meal somewhere else already? (I'm carpooling over so won't have my own transport.)

It's hard to predict. I would say there are always a few, but I wouldn't anticipate very many.

My advice would be to make plans for a meal somewhere else - it would probably be easier to cancel that if a ticket became available than to scramble to find a ride at the last minute if no ticket becomes available.

Last call for a guaranteed t-shirt in your size. Order goes in the beginning of next week. We'll be ordering some extras, but once they run out (either during registration or at the event) that's it.
