I designed a Si 8 box holder for our club's control flags to make stands unnecessary for most control locations. Because I have located some unique materials and built equipment to construct them, I am willing to build them for other clubs. I have a web site with pictures at http://sistationflagmount.weebly.com/ .
The site is listed on the OUSA vendor page.
The flag mount holds the box, a number plate and night reflector. I can carry 18 flag units ready to set in one bag. They can be converted to stand mounts by locally purchasing a $2 driveway marker pole. I will have a sample at the NA Champs.

Hey, these look good. But should the website encourage the hanging of markers on branches? Maybe there should be a stronger suggestion to use these markers with the stands. There are a number reasons why hanging control markers on branches should be discouraged. I can think of a few here: There may not be a tree or branch at the exact control point, so the marker may be placed inaccurately. The tree or branch may partially or fully obstruct visibility of the marker from certain directions. Branches are usually flexible and make the SI units unsteady and harder to punch. Markers hanging on branches can blow in the wind, get entangled on other branches or even snap off. It can be hard to find a branch at the required height.

Most of those issues should be settled during (course) field checking.

Many jurisdictions in California have a prohibition against hanging anything on plants, so even trail runs are forced to use stands to hang ribbons for course marking.
