You might find a moving bike easier, as you get to move around a little bit.

If you get aerobars, you normally want to push the seat forward (and down a bit), which allows you to get lower, while as much as possible maintaing the same hip angle, so that you sort of rotate around the bottom bracket.

Thanks good points, several factors to change together. Need to improve bike fitness more and then start changing set up. I found watching TT riders head on showed very quickly how people were dealing with reducing frontal area. One guy just rested his forearms on the handlebars!
