Thanks to Boris, the standings are updated through yesterday's Independence Day sprints in DVOA land. There is also a link from the schedule page to a flyer for UNO's camping weekend, which the Finals are a part of.

All the sprins so far, arround Championship events were awarded 50 points. How come that the Colorado 5 Day( also US Night and US Relay Champs), is only 40 and is one of the events that draws usualy big crowd?

Hammer:
50 points for a team trials, WOC A final appearance and sprint attached to the main US or Canadian Championship

Mihai:
I must'v mised reading that in the rules.

I think it's a bonus 50, on top of the other 8 scores, for making a WOC A final... I think Jon T. needs more points :) Go Jon!

eddie:
Can other international folks get 50 points for making the A-final? Like for instance if Neil or Sandy make it will they have to tell someone that they'd like to be listed in the standings? Or Swisscheeseydude?

Yes. Whether it is automatic is a moot point. You can acquire a ranking score (possibly of 0) by sending in an entry (coming soon!) for the finals.

If you want to get points for something you did ("i mowed the lawn really fast today! can i get 50 points?"), send me a request and a check (~5USD/point).

Boris is there a discount for us (still) in the M65 category?
Jul 8, 2005 5:16 PM #
DarthBalter:
hey, Hammer, you will always have your place in top 12 for finals, even in 5 years when you are M70+

I hear pickle juice is good for a pulled groin.

jjcote:
Are the pulled groin and bad ankles injuries your starting status, and thus an excuse for the slow time, or are they injuries sustained while mowing?

i remember hammer (at least as long ago..) when the length of the map-in-case he carried was 1/3rd his height - silvermine USOC - now, he might indeed be in search of excuses or tall tales :-)

Hammer:
And I remember when bl raced wearing only a map case.

PG:
He had O' shoes on too, whether racing or just hanging around.

Bash:
How can you remember that, Hammer? You were 4 years old and not even orienteering yet!
