All,

What is/are your favorite map(s) and what state is/are it/they in? Don't forget to include the state.

Yeah, Moreau Lake SP NY is pretty sweet. TMFKABM CO. Franzen MN. Depends a lot on what you're in the mood for.

Yah!...Franzen! One of the great Plamen Djambazov maps at Camp Ripley north of St Cloud, MN used for VWC'97 (WMOC). An endless expanse of glaciated terrain! I'll add my Ripley favorite: Easy Street...and the third map in the Ripley Triptych is Pillager. All great.

We all discussed this topic nine years ago at JJ's prompting.

I think it's Gold Rush in Idaho, not Golden Rush.

I'm seeing Fishtrap a few times on this list (it's one of my favorite in the state). I'm curious what makes it tops in your books?

WA has plenty more of that kind of terrain, including a 10-hour rogaine in similar stuff in two weeks. There's also a reallllllly sweet piece of unmapped terrain (code named Crabby Goose) that was in the running for hosting 2010 US Middle Champs, except that logistically, it wouldn't have worked well.

Fishtrap wouldn't top my list---too much poison ivy (though I suppose that's seasonal)
