JHen:
I wish I had seen the deer that hit me 2 weeks ago. $5100 in repairs to my Fit and I won't get it back for at least another week.

Sounds like you came very close to having a real "at one with nature" experience! Glad you missed it.

I (and a deer) weren't so lucky a few years ago, as I nailed one fairly late at night on Rt. 104, where it was a 4-lane road. No chance for me to stop in that case. Fortunately the damages from my end were only $400, not $5100 like JHen experienced. I'm guessing the deer didn't fair very well though, unfortunately.

@Jim--Oh my! I think my Pilot might have survived better. Isn't the repair cost almost as much as you paid for the car? (I know it's probably not half, but ouch on the repair cost.)

@Dick--Thanks. I believe I have a guardian angel looking out for me because I've had a number of close calls driving-wise. It was a good thing I caught the movement out of the corner of my eye.

Only deer I ever did come in contact with was a small one (think Bambi) that dented the license plate. Glen's had some side-on attacks.

That's scary, Janet! Glad you're OK.
