I also get asked a lot what I'm doing up at CH (by dogwalkers and disk golf players). When I say I'm making an orienteering map they always nod in a knowing way. But that's just because people hate to admit ignorance. When I've pursued things a bit further with some people, typically, though they might have heard of orienteering, they knew next to nothing about it.
As for progress with the map: bravo!
+1 on the progress.... you've been a busy fellow.. one could almost imagine a night-o there in the not too distant future :-)
Perhaps, but people under 40 would have to go out in pairs. :-)
I had a conversation with someone on Saturday, and it came up that I participate in orienteering, and we talked about what that is. Not too long after, he informed someone else that I do mountaineering.
Young pairs at night? Such couples might need a chaperone.
3 legged sprint corn-maze O. you never know when you might need help getting out.
