Didn't this slow you down? Did you have an extra pair with you? You must have been going really fast!

I thought I was done for at the time, we were way out on the 3rd loop, control 17 of 26 on that loop, then still the 4th loop to go.
I had a spare pair in the car, but that was a long way away.
Hill suggested I tie the laces around the shoe. Fortunately the laces are really long, and I was able to do that.
Amazingly it not only made it around that loop, but laces were still holding, so I did the last, very short, loop without changing to the other shoes!

ouch! that really looks uncomfortable. At least it provides a way for the rocks to get out.

Where's the blood? Not enough red meat in your diet.

That shoe is so awesome! And also why I stopped getting VJs.

Another advantage of not eating red meat, clear blood! So much less messy and easy to clean up.
I have to give Hillary the credit, tying the laces under the sole really worked. I never had to retie them and it held the shoe under my heel. I did try to stay on the balls of my feet(another suggestion by Hill) and avoid sidehilling.
