Why camp or drive each day on Columbus Day Weekend when you can stay at the Super 8 in Manchester, NH for the bargain price of $67/night for two people? There are still 14 nonsmoking rooms available for that price. Also, if you want to extend your stay in New Hampshire, the Super 8 will honor that rate for Thursday and Sunday nights too. The Super 8 is on Brown Avenue, right off the exit for the Manchester Airport.
The cutoff date of September 30 for UNO group reservations has been extended through Monday, October 3. To get the special rate, which includes a light continental breakfast, please call 603-623-0883 and mention Up North Orienteers. Also, the Super 8 will be our meet headquarters, which means we'll have packet pickup there on Friday night from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.
More positive news.... We still have tickets for our Saturday night dinner and course review at the NH Grange Hall at 10 Riverside Street in Hooksett Village. For just $14.50 (or $7.25 for kids ages 12 and under) our all-you-can-eat pasta dinner will include: meat lasagna, vegetarian lasagna, ziti with Italian sausage, macaroni and cheese, tossed salad, rolls and garlic bread, homemade apple crisp, cake, ice cream, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and pitchers of juice, lemonade and water on the tables. Please reserve by contacting me at lizknh at comcast dot net. Then send a check to our registrar -- Deb Humiston -- at Up North Orienteers c/o Humiston, 50 Epping Road, Exeter, NH 03833. The Grange has asked for a final count by Wednesday morning, so please reserve now.
