no good reason. it is essentially because the auto-splits are currently placed only at actual recorded track points. rather than explain any further, I will just fix :)

They were sort of both right and both wrong, as if you were taking splits manually but sometimes hit it a few steps late (so the distance was not exactly 1).

But should be all good now. Yay for math.
