A point of clarification: unless I am mistaken, there is actually only one ranked event at the A-meet, right? That is, while the Night-O and Relay champs are excellent events (and require sanctioning, I suppose), only the Middle distance race is actually an A-event. I ask because the website lists three events. Thanks!

Sandy:
The Night-O is a ranked event. It is excluded for Team Trial selection purposes because the Team asked that it be taken out of the rankings used for that, but it is not taken out for the year-end OUSA rankings.

The Relay is also ranked in the sense that every participant is awarded a credit day for successfully completing a leg in the relay. However, credit days are only used if you do not have the minimum number of ranked days. So, technically there are three ranked events.

Could you post a link to the list of registered competitors? It would be extremely useful for verifying entry, courses, trash talking, etc.

Yes, it would be nice to see it. After registration I got nothing, no confirmation, no waiver to print/sign, ... only PayPal payment showed up in my account. At least I know I paid money. But I have no idea if I really registered. What the benefit of registering online if there is no outcome?

I would like point out this is an US Championship and such information like list of registered competitors should be available online.

Hi, sorry to be a bother, but could you post a link to a list of registered competitors? Even just the subset of online registrants would be useful, with club data and courses. We're trying to figure out by how much CSU will win the 4-pt relay, but we don't know who will be there. ;)

By how many games were the Red Sox figured to win the AL East? ;)

I'm not sure why a PayPal confirmation isn't sufficient evidence that you're registered. Do you think we're running an online scam here? Anyway, the plan all along has been to post the registration list starting in October, with start times added on 10/24. That is still the plan.

I think it's very understandable, in light of some of the glitches that occurred with the upcoming CSU meet. Although I paid for that one and got confirmation, my registration didn't get processed until the IT manager for that event did some things manually to fix it. Knowing that you sent money isn't the same as knowing that your information was correctly received.

(At least the Red Sox managed to make it into the record books with their epic choke, and they provided drama and excitement... for somebody...)

It's helpful to be able to check a list to confirm registration, but there are other benefits. One of my friends couldn't remember if he had registered for the sprint or Corn Maze-O. It's useful, as I mentioned, for checking out who else has registered. That can be a selling point for people considering attending the meet, since a rich field offers additional incentive for competing. UNO's website has had a list of registered competitors for the Boulderdash meet available since registration opened. That is one of the benefits of using one of the existing meet registration tools.

October will suffice, but it would have been nice to get the information earlier. Thanks for addressing this.

Just. One. More. Day.

One bright note for Red Sox Nation: They won't feel torn over whether to feel gratitude toward the Yankees.

What an annoyance to not be able to pay for more than one person at once.
