on a business trip to Manchester N.H. I challenged myself to go for an 80 minute run and design a course at the same time. spent a few minutes before the run planning a route.

so the map and clues are posted now on the event website... and it's open to all!

enjoy,
Rex

That would be the AttackPoint event page which has a link to the web page with the files.

Yeah, I'll see if I can get right on it this afternoon...

(Is this intended to be done in the specified order, or in any order? Do the photos have any relevance?)

Sounds like fun!

We've got a similar series of maps here in Seattle, called 'Hood Hunts. Maps are downloadable for free on the website, and most of them are about 4 miles to clear the course.

I can't guarantee that all of the checkpoints will still be there. For example, last December's event primarily used Christmas decorations as checkpoints....

Maybe on OUSA there could be a page to permanent courses such as these. Download a map and try it out kinda thing.

We could do that. Patrick, do you want me to list the 'Hood Hunt link on COC's page and/or the POC page? (see below for links)

Would you want the downloadable link to be on the club's website page (for example, COC)? Or on a separate page about POC's?

Links to a club's POC pages is listed in both locations, if such a link is available (and we could find it on the website). Updates welcome.

For now, I wouldn't include them on CascadeOC's page because these aren't organized by Cascade OC (they aren't mentioned on our club website, for example). These are basically organized by myself and a few friends; we're definitely not an entity recognized by O-USA.

For that reason, I'd hesitate for them to be included anywhere on the O-USA website.

I'd never really thought about 'Hood Hunts as permanent courses. We started posting them online because it outsourced map-printing to the participants (PYOM- print your own map). I didn't want our volunteer hosts to worry about printing maps.

That said, because of this format, we do have people who show up early, or several days later, because the maps are available. It's quite possible that people are downloading maps from events that are now 6 months old...
