I am new to AP and see that everybody has their splits on profiles--how do I for example, add my splits from the recent US Classic in Happy Valley, NY--I did the Orange route? Do i have to manually do it or can i some how do electronically from Valerie Myers website etc?

It doesn't look like splits have been uploaded for that event yet. While it is possible to create a new event and enter them yourself, please don't do that. Wait until the weekend is over and see if someone with the data files uploads the entire event's worth of splits.

The first thing you should do is go to this event link:

...and say, "Yes, I'm going" in the little pull down menu.

When the splits do get uploaded, you have to claim the splits. I think you need your SI number to do that (although there is an option for people who use rented chips). Hopefully that number is in your event packet or on the splits sheet you got when you downloaded.

To claim your splits, click on the "?" next to your name.

i was slightly proud of myself when i came up with it.... i was talking to myself in the woods looking for a tricky CP and was way behind and i just blurted it out to motivate myself!

looking for a tricky CP

CP ? that's adventure-racer speak !

if you're from the AR crowd, that would explain the creative [team] naming..
