As for Trials scoring results after 2 days, they were posted at the event, but unfortunately there won't be an update tonight, for those following along from home. (A look at another thread may give a clue as to why. :)
The very short summary is that while the top 2 on Men's and Women's seem to have it locked up (Ross, Sergei Z., Sam & Ali C.), there are about 7 men still in contention for 3 more slots, and about 5 women still in contention for 2 more slots.
Tomorrow looks like an exciting day, where the weather forecast @ ~21F above normal may be a factor again....

The fifth person has to have at least 270 points in order to be named to the team. I believe the rationale for four is to have relay team + 1, so there are four even if they don't have scores >270.

There are two West Point Cadets on the team. Pretty impressive since they didn't start orienteering until they came to West Point. The program there deserves some credit and probably the Campbells even though they aren't there anymore.
I think Hannah may be the first female cadet ever on the WOC team and Jordan the first since Mikell Platt.

Eric was talking about this yesterday. He said there was a female on the team with Mikell at one time. Also Pete Nelson was on the team in 1999 while a cadet. Are there others? Past teams are listed here. Yes, quite an accomplishment for Hannah and Jordan.

Sue Baker was named to the team from West Point for I think the '78 WOC. classmate of mine and Mikell's - not sure if she went, as she didn't come back to West Point that fall.

Cadet Mary Costello (now Forbes?) was with us in Hungary in 1983, along with Mikell P, but I believe she was a traveling alternate, not full team member.
It looks like Hannah deserves the recognition as the first female cadet, and Jordan and Hannah as the first pair of cadets.
Congratulations, and I hope Bud Fish is informed.

Jim, I don't think Sue was part of the '78 team in Norway, but I wasn't there and so I could be wrong about that. Maybe she was named as an alternate?
Eric, you are right that Mary was with us in Hungary, as an alternate. She roomed with Sharon, which I believe she described as an indelible, life shaping experience.

Coincidentally, I believe Major (at the time) Bud Fish was among the few who knew about the special terrain of Blue Mountain, and was advocating its mapping before HVO (Westchester?) undertook the project.

The RouteGadget courses for the Team Trial events are now geo-referenced. What does this mean?
It means that you can upload you GPS tracks a whole lot easier now. The tracks will load on the map pretty darn close to where they belong.
Here is how to do it if you have loaded your tracks to AP.
Go to the race and select the Globe. Then select GPX and save the tracks somehwere handy.
Open the corresponding RG event. Select GPS in the upper right hand corner. Select GPX format and browse to the file saved above. Hit OK.
Select Draw Your Route, and Choose your Course, and then your name.
Adjust the Blue squares to fine tune the tracks, if necessary. Hit OK, and now you have the option for some further fine tuning. Save and you are done.
Let me know if you have any questions/problems.
