I just entered some splits from a training run into a race and they have seem to be counted in the AP rankings. The splits are from a day other than race day and the training log item is tagged as training and not "race". I thought that AP had a way to enter splits for training....
Yeah, splits are only excluded from ranking if the race itself is created as "training" or if your run is a re-run, i.e. not your first time on the course. A clever trick (I didn't think of this, I saw someone else do it...) would be to enter your same splits again as a re-run, then delete your original set, and you end up with just a non-ranked re-run and no original run.
And then the AP rankings will be recalculated?
Please understand my motivation. I am trying do deny a rival a rankings boost :-)
The main
rankings page will show the recalculation right away, and the points on the race page will update within a day or so.
