23 is about the average minimum we've been having. Maxes have been in the 30s every day for what seems like years. You'd better find somewhere warmer than Ararat to train.
It would be unlucky, although not unprecedented, to get 30+ in York as late as 23 April (they have had 34 in May), but mid-high 20s is very plausible in a year like this. The average high at that time of year is about 24.
As for training, we have to take what we can find.
So what's the likelihood of any rain before or during Easter?
Of meaningful rain - not terribly high. In a normal year Perth would pick up its first winter-type rain event sometime in the second half of April but the early-season ones don't usually have a lot of penetration inland. Only 7% of April days in York have 1mm or more of rain (compared with about 18% in Perth).
50mm fell in 15 minutes at Toodyay (50km NW of York) last night! Not much elswhere though.
