Thought you guys might enjoy this. I write occasionally for Breathe Mag. (B team, not in the Mag, but online material). They liked this one enough to make a special illustration. Thought this crowd would appreciate.

I often wondered about female Himalayan climbers. Tents are small and cramped. Its too much effort to carry big tents up the hill. Keeping hydrated is a challenge at all times, but every now and then you still have to pee. Its too cold to go outside and piss at night. I know blokes take pee bottles to solve the problem. Never been game to ask a woman Himalayan climber how they manage.

Google "shepee" and wonder no more.

And I always thought that was a misspelling of 'sherpa'... ;-)

Sharon Wood, the first North American woman to climb Everest, was very proud of her ability to use a pee bottle and spoke about it in her presentations. Before our trip to a remote area of Nepal where fierce, roaming dogs made it desirable to stay in our tent all night, well, let's just say I did some unusual kinds of training. (No "shepee" for Sharon or me!)
