Study authors Mark Tarnopolsky and his wife Jackie are both coaches in Adventure Running Kids with Mark having raced in a previous World Ski-O Champs.
Sure it works for mice. I would have expected that. But what about Swampfoxes? I don't think the results are transferable to that species without further study. Mark should make some Swampfoxes run on a treadmill 3 times a week, or more. As a control, the mice from the previous study should continue their routine while eating oatmeal out of a tin cup. Do that study and I'll be impressed.
Another confirmation of the old adage "you don't slow down because you get old; you get old because you slow down."
However how did those exercising mice keep their hair? I lost mine during 40 years of working on a figurative treadmill!!!
Getting me to eat oatmeal 3x week would be enough to make me retire. Horrible stuff designed to haunt kids well in to their adult stage.
I eat oatmeal and I exercise. And yet, I still age.
Without oatmeal there would be no haggis, and therefore no reason to fear ageing.
Hasn't worked for me either Gord. I wonder what they consider endurance training 3 times a week? Maybe we have to do MORE!
Oatmeal is good but Grits are really good!
