In the world I say. Aren't they ripping it up to lay the new tartan track?

I think the current plan is to put the new track in the bushland near the corner of Underwood Ave and Perry Lakes Dve oriented so the Freo doctor is a direct tailwind for the home straight. The current plan doesn't seem to involve any change to McGillivray Oval but the plan does seem to change completely every couple of months. There is a "Scenario B" plan that shows a Rugby stadium where the grass track is but I don't think that is the current preferred option.

The best thing is that not only is there a pristine grass 400m track but there is also a pristine 1000m loop for doing longer reps.
