I am just wondering why IOF don't have any world ranking scheme for juniors. Let’s say JWOC + WRE events, class M/W20.

It is not necessary that this ranking should be very important, but could help some federations. If you look at International calendar you will see you don’t have many official events for juniors. Whole Orienteering community develop so many International 3-4-5-6 day events which don’t count for nothing. Maybe they apply 1-2 days for WRE. Same with european events which are designed for national junior and senior B teams (JEC, Euromeeting). To get finance from National Olympic Committee we need good results at official international events or events which are part of IOF event calendar. I hope this could raise some good questions about regional development of less developed orienteering countries. If this makes sense for more countries I would like to see some initiatives in the future.

It is just an idea, but this is the way I see it.

Junior WRE = (JWOC) + (JEC,.......) + (WRE class M/W20)

and

IOF World Challenge Mettings = Multiday events + events for National B teams (Euromeeting,.....)

Count only final ranking. Athletes get points. Each country could apply 2-4 multiday events (2-3-4-5-6 days) and Final ranking at each event counts for World challenge for Elite and M/W20. Multiday events should have at least 1 day valid for WRE. Final points for World challenge are distributed if WRE is valid.

World challenge events are official second level international events. Like in skiing / WorldCup - FIS events; Football / Champions league - UEFA cup; Athletics / IAAF Diamond league Meetings - IAAF World challenge Meetings). IOF or Regional OF should be responsible also for official prize for each event and prize for final ranking (diploma, etc) not just collecting fees.

Reason:
Orienteering countries must have chance to send their teams to official second level international events where final ranking counts.
