Charlie, do you know if there is a facility at Richard B. Russell State Park to take showers on Sunday after the race? Those of us flying would benefit from such access. Thanks!

We are not able to provide showers. The showers at the campground are reserved for campers who are paying guests of the park.

Personally, I always request a late checkout from the hotel I stay in and can usually shower and check out at 2 pm or so, but then I use the same chain a lot.

Most chains don't really care if you are in there to 2 or 3. Just explain your situation to the person at check in, and you should be good to go.

Or fill a gallon jug with hot water when leaving the motel. Wrap it in your coat & it will be fine for a casual, discreet shower after finishing (most convenient, saves time). I should qualify: facile for males. Females? convention gets in the way...but all welcome!
