I guess 3G bandwidth isn't quite wide enough for this. Constantly moving camera isn't good for compression algorithms. I wonder how may years it will take untill we can do it. And what is the best technology (is there?) for it right now. Wimax?

Orienteering as a sport really needs an easy and cheap way to get decent video stream from forest. Wireless 2 km range would do. Today courses look like this just because it's so complicated to get video stream.

Its not only bandwidth, but also image stabilization and placement of camera. After watching couple of minutes of raw footage viewer is getting seasick or something.
