Thanks guys. It was actually a very good evening for orienteering as a whole. Both Kendra Murray and Trevor Bray were nominees for Athlete of the Year (non-international athletes) and another orienteer, Dahria Beatty, won for x-c skiing.

Like Mike M mentioned, it is good to promote our sport in general. Even in Whitehorse, where we enjoy good media coverage and we are generally well-known, one reporter actually asked me why kids should bother to try orienteering, after all it isn't an Olympic sport.
