A great event. Perfect weather, challenging terrain. The checkpoint inside the lodge where we were greeted with food and swag was an especially nice touch.

Ditto on the great job! Food at the lodge?

At the lodge we were greeted with cookies and a peanut butter sandwich. Maybe it was just good timing.

Good timing indeed. No cookies but we picked up complementary wristband compasses there which suspiciously read north in any direction. I think the fix was in...
Fun event.

Really fun event. Wish they hadn't run out of chili, which smelled so good when I finished the 12 hr, but was gone by the time i got changed.

apparently they ran out of controls too. winning team cleared the course in 18 hours?

They did finish with lots of time to spare.

Our route measured in at 32 miles. We swept the main course in 23 hours, squeaky clean, but didn't have time for the 4 bonus controls (we tried for one). Only teams that swept the main course were eligible to go for the bonus controls.

The nav wasn't especially difficult for the most part. I think the terrain and veg caught up with a lot of teams.

We passed thru the HH around 9:30p and the chili was already gone then.
