As a more famous Duluthian once said ... "The times they are a changin". For a variety of reasons (work-related, personal, etc.), Abbi and I are planning to move on from Duluth. In an effort to increase opportunities/possibilities, I am heading back to school this fall to get a teaching license (1 year program) and then we will look for somewhere a little more permanent to settle.
I have been accepted at Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario (near Abbi's parents). So, in fairly short order (this summer), we will be packing up and heading back across the border. I've spoken with a few of you over the past year about opportunities, but I thought many others might like to know the news.
Welcome back to the Great White North Trond, Rachel, Abbi and Brian...
still trying to find a job for you up here... . You should definitely consider it after you get your teaching license. welcome back!
Brian, you mean that you need a teaching license to teach at a Canadian university? It is much easier in the USA, for the matter of fact!
A little change in plans ...
I've accepted a teaching position (Math and Physics) at Okanagan College in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, so we will be now be packing up and heading west!
Nooooooo! I wanted you to look at Bend, Oregon, before deciding!
I didn't know salmon had arms.
I thought they worked on that on the Susquehanna about 26 years ago.
Woohoo, another BC convert ...sweet. Although competition at the BC Champs just got a lot harder!
Good luck with everything Brian, Abbi, and kids! Thanks for all the help you have given to the US Orienteering Team.
Welcome to the Wild West, Brian and family! I look forward to racing you in some of the excellent terrain around Kamloops.
