To enhance the evening after a great day of orienteering the US Teams are offering two different types of entertainment as fundraisers for their teams. The Senior Team is putting together a Wine and Cheese social at the Event Center saturday evening 4:30 to 6:30 in the meeting room with the cost at $8.00 a person. So come out and discuss your course from saturday while enjoying a glass of wine with other orienteers before going to dinner.
OR

The Junior team is taking over the meeting room at 7PM for a night of games and fun. Bring your favorite board or card game to share or teach to others and have a great time together with your family and friends. The Game night is from 7PM to about 9PM with the juniors providing some cider and snacks for everyone's enjoyment. The cost is $3.00 a person or $8.00 for a family of 4.

Just a reminder that we gain a hour of sleep this night so playing games until 9PM is like playing to 8PM so every one can have some fun and still get plenty of sleep.

The senior team would like for interested person to contact Janet Porter at djporter2@verizon.net by November 2 to reserve a spot at the Wine social, so that enough Wine and cheese can be purchased.

See you there! The US Teams

I like how the wine social precedes the games. Should make them more interesting. :-)

Clem,There is no dinner being offered by DVOA. You have to go out on your own or with friends for something to get.

Guy, we didn't think that both events would attract the same crowd. If to many people want to do both we can move the time up of the wine social. Or you can come at 4:30 have a glass of wine and chat for a half hour or so go to dinner and come back and get into a game.

Right--I realized there is no dinner. And if there isn't an official dinner, why complain about how much time is allotted to it?

No official dinner does not mean doing without dinner altogether.

Then again, wine & cheese might be sufficient sustinence. :-)
