Jeff, what do you think of the Orocs? Do you have the 280s or the 340s? How do they compare to other shoes you have used?

I love them! They actually feel like running shoes as compared to a lot of orienteering shoes. It was interesting - a couple of Wednesdays ago, our running coach had us run some long intervals, the first one in training shoes and the second and third ones in the shoes we'd be racing in that coming weekend. I felt so light of foot and fast when I put on the Orocs!
The spikes aren't very long but I've yet to have any problem with grip - the rubber studs are still pretty hefty. I have the 280s and my only complaints - minor - are that the toe-box is a bit roomy for me and I have this strange problem that once a race or so I land on something with my left foot and feel a sharp pressure in my big toe from one of the spikes.

Overall rating: the best orienteering shoe I've ever worn!
