Now that the penultimate race of the regular season 2010 Sprint Series is over, the Sprint Series Standings have been updated to include all results submitted. See them at
http://www.sprintseries.org
The current standings will also be available at the Sprint Series Finals on Friday afternoon and will be updated to include the results of the 50-pointer before the final heats.
Get your sprint on!
Are there start times anywhere?
Start times will be assigned as people check in.
Whoa, cool. I've run a lot of sprints this year! I wish I could go to the finals; I've never been before :(
The results are missing at least the US Sprint Champs and the North American Champs Sprint (WRE). Arguably the two most important races of the season. Looks like they are also missing the Boggs Sprint and the GLOF Sprint WRE, but these are very recent.
Carol—Sprint Finals 2011 in San Francisco, November. With the Cheetahs and the Nandus and maybe even Gazelles. And a WRE in Golden Gate Park. (small print: subject to various regulatory body approvals.)
T/D>> I think the rules this year are that a sprint only counts if the organizers reported the results to the Deciders, though I could be wrong.
Still, I agree that it seems weird that some of the biggest sprints of the year aren't included.
The 2010 Sprint Series Winners were Hannah Burgess and Jordan Laughlin, both of USMAOC. Since the first place prizes were pie, the West Point team presumably ate well last night.
Rounding out the top three were Nadezda Dvorko and Marie-Cat Bruno for the women, Jon Torrance and Alexei Azarov for me.
The Gazelle Heat runners at the Finals were:
Ali Crocker
Charlotte MacNaughton
Nadezda Dvorko
Hannah Burgess
Marie-Cat Bruno
Men
Jon Torrance
Ethan Childs
Dean Sturtevant
Zac Barker
Greg Walker
Jordan Laughlin
Alexei Azarov
Clem McGrath
Thanks to everyone who participated in this year's Sprint Series!
"...Jon Torrance and Alexei Azarov for me."
Was that a Freudian slip? ;-)
