Discussion: Attackpoint plugin for SportTracks 3.x?

Hi Ken,
I see that SportTracks has gone through a major update, and is now at version 3 (.x). I'm interested in trying out the new features (anyone else out there with comments on those?) but apparently ST2 plugins will not work on the new version, and I would be lost without my AP plugin! Do you have any plans to release an ST3-compatible plugin?

Thanks for the heads-up, I hadn't seen the 3.0 announcement. I don't know yet how much work it would be to update the existing plugin. But I would definitely like to do it at some point.

It's worth noting that the st2ap plugin was created by Greg Khanlarov and he maintains it as a separate open source project. I only contributed a few parts.

has anyone tried using the plugin with the new sporttracks? I've just got a new laptop and can't seem to find sporttracks 2 to download but really want my ap plugin still!

I still have the set-up file for SportTracks_2.1.3326 available on my computer if that is of any help for now...

The current version of the plugin won't work with the new sporttracks. I am planning to fix it. I can't tell when the next release will be as I have no idea how difficult is to make the old code work with the new sporttracks. I'll keep you posted.

I've modified the plugin to make it compatible with SportTracks 3.x. The beta version is available here. If you are still using SportTracks 2.x don't install the new plugin, it's not backward compatible with older SportTracks 2.x. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of SportTracks. Plugin developers will have to maintain two separate releases from now on.
Please let me know by email if you see any problems.

Great! Well done, Greg, thanks for that - looking forward to giving it a test run.

Hi, I've been using Sporttracks 3 with the new plugin for a while with no problems but all of a sudden when I try to export it says "Operation Failed Object reference not set to an instance of an object." I've tried doing the logout/login thing but when I tried to log back in I got the same error. Export still works fine from my other computer which is also Sporttracks 3 with the new plugin, both are running Sporttracks in Parallels. Any ideas what I can try to make it work? I've pasted in the log file below in case it actually makes sense to anyone

05/04/2011 14:03:44: Operation failed.
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

After the latest ST update, when exporting to attackpoint I get a "Operation failed - Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Anyone else or just me?

So far, just you. Can you send me the log file via email, please? Go to settings->plugins->attackpoint. Click on attackpoint logo and then on 'see log file' link. Thank you.

@greg

On attackpoint for my GPS I have the option to make the session data visible to:
Everyone, Just Site Members, Just Friends, Just You and Don't Upload

I use the SportTracks plugin but there I only have the options:
Everyone, Just You and No upload.

Is there any chance you could update the plugin to include the other options?
