All,
I hope that you are having a good Tuesday. I'm sure many of you are getting ready to head to Washington. I will be there on the 27th and will see you in Spokane.
I wanted to take a moment and update you regarding the Orienteering USA board of directors nominations. As in the case of every year, whe have a list of dedicated board members that have finished their current three year term. (In some cases multiple terms.) We thank them for their dedication and service and look forward to having them contribute to the sport in other ways.
We currently have three nominations for four open positions. You can find a ballot at www.us.orienteering.org with biographies to follow shortly. Those that have self-nominated to serve on the board will serve it well should they be elected by the membership.
We do, however have one open board seat at this time. If you feel that you are board material and want to find a new way to give back to the sport, I recommend that you self-nominate yourself and contact Rosemary Johnson at orosem@sbcglobal.net.
