LKohn:
I am very proud to announce the selection of the WUOC Team to go to Borlange, Sweden in July:
Men
Leif Anderson, RMOC
Nick Lewis-Walls, USMAOC (declined)
John Hensley-Williams, GAOC
Brendan Shields, CSU
Keith Andersen, USMAOC
Jordan Laughlin, USMAOC
Kevin Culberg (alt.) USMAOC

Women
Hannah Burgess, USMAOC
Holly Kuestner, BOK
Tori Borish, COC
Alison Campbell, DVOA
Lori Huberman (1st alt.) BOK
Siobhan Fleming (2nd alt.) NEOC

I hope that you will support the WUOC team as they prepare for the Championships. We have a start in raising the $7000 needed to pay entry/room/board expenses (athletes pay their own airfare) thanks to the generousity of BOK who donated the procedes from the Sycamore Scramble to the team. We still have a ways to go!
Moral support is as important as financial so please be encouraging to our athletes as they continue to prepare to represent the US at WUOC.

Congrats to everyone!

Since the U in WUOC is for University, can we see what universities all of these student-athletes are representing? I think that's more applicable than club affiliation in this case.

Well, all the USMAOC people are from West Point. =P
Here's my attempt at the rest of them (I'm sure you could've done just as well with 3 minutes on Facebook. =P):

Men
Leif Anderson, RMOC (Colorado)
John Hensley-Williams, GAOC (I should know; it's somewhere in North Georgia I believe...)
Brendan Shields, CSU (Harvard)

Women
Holly Kuestner, BOK (UNC Chapel Hill)
Tori Borish, COC (Williams)
Alison Campbell, DVOA (I know she's accepted to Pitt, not sure about anywhere else...)
Lori Huberman (1st alt.) BOK (Harvard)
Siobhan Fleming (2nd alt.) NEOC (???)

Welcome to Borglund, the city which changed its name to make it easier to pronounce... :)

Yup, let's go ahead and correct that to Borlänge. Thanks, Eriol. :)

Congrats to the WUOC team! And way to go BOK for supporting the team so generously!

Congrats to all team members. A BIG thanks to BOK for their support of the team. It was greatly needed this year. Alison and John H. Williams are HS seniors not college students. But I don't think that matters they are still students

Depending on the interpretation of who can go:

"have to be students who are currently officially registered as proceeding towards a degree or diploma at the university or similar institute whose status is recognized by the appropriate national academic authority of their country, or former students who have obtained their academic degree or diploma in the year 2009;"

They will be registered by May, certainly, which should be far enough in advance of the competition.
