Swampfox:
Foot Fetish Sprint races to get underway shortly. No further message, due to serious coffee drinking in progress by race organizers. Extensive reports to follow with complete results as soon as practical after the race courses have been fulfilled.

Pre-race favorites Kris Beecroft and Spike Eglinski are still heavily favored in the Foot Fetish Sprints, and the bribes proferred (and accepted) have little or nothing to do with this assessment.

Swampfox:
I was the the course setter for the first sprint of the three sprint Foot Fetish Sprints. This sprint was named the Sex In The Laramie Range Stilleto Sprint (the other sprints didn't have names near as progressive) and was 2.72 kms with 11 controls, and a massive amount of climb. Wisely, the course setter reversed the course, and afterwards all the racers were in agreement the climb felt rather easy. The course setting was basically brilliant, a shining example of everything orienteering is supposed to be.

Results: 1) James Scarborough 17:23; 2) Mike "Spike" Eglinski 19:06; 3) Christoph Zurcher 19:48; 4) Troy Bozarth 21:21; 5) JP Ingebrigtsen 22:31; 6) David Stanoesky 25:35; 7) Doug Berling 26:01; 8) Kristin Beecroft 27:39; 9) Brooke Mann 34:58; 10) Jan Zvanovec 36:36; 11) Mary Jones 37:17; 12) Chris Armijo 41:37; 13) Matt Lundy 42:37; DSQ--David Lundy

As sidenotes, David Stanoesky and Jan Zvanovec are Czech mathematicians in Laramie for a conference. If I understood correctly, David said Jan had never orienteered before. Additionally, we learned that Cristoph has a new girlfriend with lots of vowels in her name: Maiya.

This race report hereby officially sealed and submitted to the High Commissar of US Sprint Racing, his Gness, Mr. Peter Gagarin.

Chris Armijo Sporting Withdrawl

Chris A's map was misprinted. He didn't finish the course, but his problems were not his fault. How about giving him sprint series points based on the avereage of his first two races.

Congratulations to Spike for a couple of super fine runs. Not bad for someone who does old man intervals.
