Hello folks. So was looking at events I could go to this summer and realized that there has been little talk about the COCs. Found their website by Eric Kemp today and looks like it is going to be a great event! So here is the link: www.COC2010.ca
There isn't a ton of information up yet but i'm sure they will post here with more.

The terrain looks really nice - Canadian Shield terrain. There was some discussion on it a few weeks ago.

Maps are just a hop and a skip from downtown Ottawa so lots to do and logistically very easy to get to.

If you are driving up for the week (Jr. camp takes place in the days before COC's I believe) also consider visiting Toronto. The TOC have an urban race on the Toronto Islands on August 14th I believe.

Big year of orienteering in Ontario.
Canadian Ski-O Champs in January
Canadian Champs in August
Golden Leaf O Festival in Hamilton in October.

It's good to see there's some interest and it will for sure be a great event!

The Sass Peepre Jr. Training Camp will once again take place the week prior to the Championship races. That week will also consist of 3 fun and exciting non-championship races as well as the standard COF conference and AGM.

I can't tell you more than that it will be an absolutely amazing week. The rest will have to wait for the website's release. It should be released within a month and potentially as soon as a week and a half from now.

Stay on the lookout and we'll inform you when it goes live.
