Hey, glad you (claim to have) enjoyed it! Looks like you did a good job, too.

#2 - dropping was supposed to be tempting, not good...
#10 - there is a northern route too, path from the lake tip to the marsh, I expected either that or that you would stay south of the marsh a bit longer
#12 - I'd have either gone left or right of the line
controls -#15, they were supposed to be fun, before a nasty long leg :)
#16 - I've no idea :)
#17 - if there were more light, would you have considered passing by 5?

I think Boris did a better job than me :)

#10 I planned to run path down to avoid steep slippery slope, the run west on marsh and approach control from SE. But I did not look left and follow the edge of the marsh but istead used my bubble compas. The all I could do was go straight. I had the northern route in mind too, but I never saw any path going that direction and I did not want start looking at it and took south option instead.

#12 Right, I went straight at top of the hill. GPS seems to be a bit left there. But I did he S at the end (fallen tree).

I guess my route to #16 is good. Straight options include too many steep slopes up and down. But that option would have done good for my lazy body :). Maybe next time I go straight just as punishment for lazy body.

#17. Passing by #5 might be ok, but even if it's good choice and fast it's unlikely you will win anything significant over route option. Forest isn't here quite as fast as it is in typical 25manna terrains near Stockholm, so you may loose if forest isn't the fastest type around. I t would be fun to know where in far east-west direction you would have to place #17 to make it even, but testing is not that smart because area around #5 has chanced a lot since mapping (no trees there at the moment, I guess Irish orienteers would love it :).

You did gread job and you know it for sure. But Boris had planned 3 courses, so quantity wise he still has lead :)

What I liked was the variety of route choices. If I plan course for myself I would not have made route choice legs (like #8 and 16,17,18) because I would have estimated choices while planning it and thet would make running one of the choices (like road option) quite boring. Now I had to do like in competitions - pick one choice on the fly and study afterwards was it a good or bad one.

Looks like a fun course. And I like this course exchange thing - as Jagge said, not looking at the legs ahead of time really helps.
