Hello all,

I'm in the process of setting up a mtb/road/bmx/dh training company, and looking for some test subjects.

I'm based in Sheffield, UK, and was wondering if anyone wants some tips and hints on how to ride. I've raced World Cup 4x for 4 years, been on the British Team, raced downhill, bmx, road and xc and am looking to pass on the skills I've learnt.

If anyone fancies a session let me know - FREE! - for now anyway, just for me to get a feel for the market and what people want; try a few different idea's out etc. I'll simply answer any and all questions, give you tips on bike control, riding techniques, set up etc; as basic or in-depth as you wish.

Let me know.

Cheers!

Jim

Why isn't this is filed under MTB-Training and Technique? Doesn't seem to have anything to do with orienteering...

MTB Orienteering. I would have assumed that MTBOers are pretty strong technical cyclists or would like to strenghten there technical skills

275 - Nice offer and good luck with the new company. Too bad you're a continent and ocean away.

we've letShUOC know, maybe if you get in contact with the University Cycling Club, and Hallam Uni's cycling club as well. Dunno about hallam, but Shef Uni's is at www.weridebikes.co.uk, or cycling@shef.ac.uk

If you find yourself in San Francisco at any point, I'd love to get some tips ;)

Good luck with the business!

cfd - let me know!

JanetT - mtb orienteers need to be concentrating on route choice and planning ahead; the riding should really become second nature, hopefully I can help with this..

urthbuoy - hop on one of those metal birds and get over here, you two Suzanne; might be in the states next year so we'll see!

Ba-ba - I used to attend hallam, I'll be letting them know shortly and have a few contacts at Sheffield Uni too, but thanks for letting ShUOC know!

Cheers all!

You could always come down to Cannock Chase and organise a session, I could fill it with a few punters !

Hey Jim, I'm now living in Sheffield and would gladly submit myself as a test subject. I've always enjoyed mountain biking (but remain wary of roots) and am always keen for improvement. Let me know! Peace.

The problem is getting some daylight to do it in !
Probably get 4 or 5 easily, possibly a few more if booked a little further ahead. May be better to get a GB squad session booked in
