I am flying into MSP at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 with plans to rent car for the trip to/from Camp Ripley. If there is anyone from the area (or with similar flight schedule) who would like to share a ride, please contact me. I can cancel the car unless we choose to share it for the trip. FYI, I am staying in the barracks on Saturday night and my return flight is at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Looks like perfect weather for the weekend. Whoo Hoo !!
It will be nice to have good weather.
The recent cold snap here in Minnesota has many of leaves falling early and falling green. Visibility in the woods will be good. Freshly fallen leaves on the forest floor present their own challenge...
Todd, or other MNOCs, do you have any information about water stops on the Minnegoat course? I prefer not to wear my camelback but will bring it if necessary.
Joe, i suggest you bring your Camelback.... we typically do NOT offer water stops at MNOC meets. We are of the opinion that the setter/vetter volunteers have enough to do and that Camelbacks offer far more options (flavour etc and timing) to the competitor. See you Sat Ian
Wow, glad I asked, that would have been a disaster. I understand your policy, dealing with e-punch AND water is a real chore for setters on those early mornings.
