Discussion: Seeking an orienteering au-pair

Angelica & I are looking for an Au-Pair to help watch AJ & Oriana, so that Angelica can start working again, and (of course) so we can have more time for orienteering. We'd be especially interested in finding an Au-Pair that orienteers, so that we all keep each other motivated.

I suspect the readership of this discussion board is a little too limited to find an orienteering Au-pair directly (although I could be surprised...) However if you know of someone who might be interested, please forward our information along.

Also, if you have any suggestions for other places to seek an Au-pair, that would be great. For example, for those readers who are orienteers from Scandinavia, or, say, Eastern Europe - where might you hear about an opportunity to be an Au-pair in an orienteering family in the USA? In your national O' magazine? From a friend who read a post to some email list? (What email list?)

Suggestions (and applications :) welcome!

Our mini-ad for those who want to know more:

Wyatt, I think this is the perfect opportunity for me. I was already thinking of a career change anyway! I just require a warm bed, a roof overy my head, and a daily bowl of lukewarm gruel to keep me going. :) :) :)

Seriously, though, if you, for some strange reason, would want a Russian au-pair, you could post an add on moscompass.ru , which is a moscow-based o-discussion board.

FYI We've gotten two replies from a post on the Swiss solv.ch site. One for the summer only, one for summer + 4-8 months, but as a high-school student.

Still trying to find someone for before that, and perhaps someone past school who can stay a year, but in lieu of that we might take one of these offers.

If anyone else is looking, I'm happy to put you in touch with the possible au-pairs.

Now as for Boris. How soon can you start? What if I throw in all-you-can-eat gruel? Can you start tomorrow? :)

You may want to make a post on http://www.orienterare.nu/ It is a community site for Junior Orienteers in Sweden.
