There is a map of Greenbelt if you are interested. I have a copy here I can scan and post today if you want some training. There is also a map of Patapsco Valley SP in Laurel. I think I have a copy of that here too. The park entrance is on Rt. 1 near BWI (Avalon/Orange Grove area). And of course there is "Squirrel Kill" off Rt. 175 :) You're probably leaving for STL soon though.

I might have an opportunity to go to a map tomorrow (Thursday), so yeah that would be great! Please post it! I am leaving Friday morning though, so there isn't much time left... What flight are you taking to St. Louis? I am leaving BWI at 7:15 and flighing over Memphis. Getting to St. Louis at 10am... I don't know what I am going to do until the sprint starts...

Heya. I have an early BWI flight Friday too - Southwest 6:50 AM departure, arr STL 8:05. Maybe I can find you at the airport in the morning! I was asking Randy the same thing today...what should I do until the sprint? Randy is arriving at 11:30AM or so and has a car rented, so I was planning to just hang at the airport until then. The other option was to take the train to the event site and just sit there for 3 hours, but I think the airport may have more to offer, especially if the weather is bad. Just a sec...lemmie scan a couple of maps for you.

OK, some training maps posted here:

ftp://ftp.stsci.edu/outside-access/out.going/eddie/sandra

These scans are 200DPI. Greenbelt is 1:10000, 5m. Patapsco is 1:7500, 20ft. You should be able to print to whatever scale you like.

Thanks so much for the maps!! My friend Lindsay is excited to find some maps in the area too. She is a very talented runner, and I have been trying to convert her into an orienteer for years. Maybe QOC would have a chance...
Yeah, we should meet up at the airport and hang out until Randy comes. Maybe we should just stay at the airport until we need to go to the event.
Cool, see you there! I'm flying Northwest from Memphis, arriving at 10:05 or something like that.

Wish I had known you were in town! It would have been fun to see you ... though with Max, getting a run in "with" you (i.e., starting with you and waving as you run away) would have been difficult.
But I could have told you all about the trails at Greenbelt. I used to run those every week, for years. That park is where Nadim & I met. :-) Great place for trail running and hilly road runs, not as nice for orienteering.
