Cool indeed. AP appears to be getting swamped from all points of the globe. I used to browse just about all the training logs at least once a month or so, but I can't keep up. I'm glad Kenny added the favorites feature; it's getting hard to find logs in that long list.

I notice we have a new 'display order' feature. Cool!

However... west to east is nice for finding North Americans, but means you show up way down the bottom if you aren't in California or western Canada. Could we have 'nearest to my location' or 'nearest in longitude to me' instead, or is that too calculation intensive? Or alternatively, maybe it's time to go to subgrouping the logs (eg by continent) rather than displaying them all. I don't like that option much since it seems to defeat the 'shrink the world' role of Attackpoint a little.

Sort by closest to me would be cool. That sort obviously already exists because it's used on the "Nearby" tab of community page.

As long as we're putting in wishes (what happened to the feature request menu - the fact that my AP rating entitled me to that had me feeling rather smug) some sort of new member listing would be nice. I'd like to at least check the logs of new folks to see if I want to add them to my favorites.

And I miss the old training list that showed people's highest time activity (e.g., Night-O, running, etc.) rather than geographic location. I miss browsing for people doing weird and/or cool stuff.

My training list shows geographic location and top % activity for each member. Have you customized your features in some way to remove that?
May 9, 2006 7:45 PM #
cedarcreek:
No---It just stopped displaying %activity when the last big change was made (earlier this year?). I've looked for a way to change it back, but I can't find it.

Mine still shows the top activity. I don't see anything in the edit preferences where you would change the column configuration. I'd suggest emailing Kenny.

If you look under "more training logs", %activity is listed along with location, time. Under Home page, they aare not.

Where is "more training logs"? I can't find it anywhere.

Bash:
It's on the Home page, right above "Noisy Logs (comments)".

Okay. When I click on "more training logs", I get exactly the same screen as I get with "Browse Logs" at the bottom of the page.

*Neither one* has % activity. There is *only* the location.

because it is computationally intensive to calculate the % activity, it is not displayed for everyone. (people with a low number of total "points" in their profile wouldn't see it) Matthew, you should be getting it now though.

also, the feature request link is still there, it's just called "development" now.

Looks like ordering the list by country is required :)

Ok, i am probably blind and/or delirious, but where is this "development" link??

Boris, I'd be really impressed if you were blind.

The dev link is at the very bottom of the page (for those who have it). (And I assume you do.)

Gday, i put the story on the OA webpage because this is such a good website, it's increased interest amongst the elites and definitely increased the training volume! For example being able to read about Robw's training in Sweden and having some good natured banter and slagging is just great. Everyone in Oz is loving it!

Looks like our wish has become Ken's command again. At least ordering by proximity has. Go attackpoint!
