So why are you training so hard? Any particular goals in mind?
Yeah, good question. I am mostly just sticking with Sam's training.
I intend to switch to more biking and track running in July.
With this much training done already, I think I'll try to get under 6 minutes for a mile.
A goal for tomorrow is to see if I cam better my time on Northfield Mt. I was pretty flat out last year though, just a momentary lapse at the water station, and I can't say I'm well rested going in. I like the race though, and enjoy Dave's enthusiasm.
I may show up tomorrow, but if I do, I won't run the downhill hard. Too easy to hurt thr hamstrings.
Under 6 in the mile ought to be relatively easy for you, I would think.
Well, the 607 I ran a few weeks ago wasn't easy. Then I think about running 8 200's under 45 seconds, when my fastest was 39....doesn't leave much room for going 8 times farther.
Oh well. Yeah I think I can do it, just gotta be warmed up and push hard.
