As posted on ClubNET:

The US Orienteering Federation 2009 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on June 27, 2009 at 3:00-5:00 pm. in the Banquet Room of the Upper Kittitas County Senior Center, 719 E 3rd St. Cle Elum WA 98922. At this meeting amendments to the articles of incorporation and the bylaws will be voted on by the membership. for more info on the amendments check out: http://www.us.orienteering.org/binder/2009bylaws_a... Should they be approved, there will be an election for four at-large directors for three year terms.

The current terms of the President, Clare Durand; VP Program Development, Mike Minium; VP Competition, Robert Paddock and Secretary, Valerie Murray will be expiring at the Annual General Meeting. Also, the terms of at-large director, Greg Lennon and regional representatives, Jim Eagleton, Lisa Carr and Scott Drumm will be expiring.

All other current members of the Board will retain their positions as directors for the remainder of their term but not necessarily as officers. Officers will be decided by a vote within the new board after the election at the AGM. Officer positions will be for one year terms. The board will be losing 8 members and four will be newly elected. Clare Durand, Greg Lennon and Scott Drumm are standing for re-election.

I am hereby soliciting nominations for USOF director at large. Anyone who has been a member of USOF for more than one year is eligible for election. Please let me know by May 28 if you intend to stand for election.

I'd like to point out that the messages says:

"Should they be approved, there will be an election for four at-large directors for three year terms."

The more quality nominations there are, the better the Board. If you have an interest in making USOF better and working hard with others who feel the same, please think about running. Nominate your friends, too. ;-)
