"Where are all the women?"

Karen W. & Sandra are overseas
Angelica is staying home with the kids (and I presume Kristin is doing the same)

Not sure about Erin. Supposedly someone saw her at the Highlander, but she didn't race. Sam ran the Highlander and was 1st woman (suffering some kind of Saeger family back cramp shortly after the finish :) Pavlina was close behind. Not sure why they aren't going - anyone have further info on these F21s? Any of these 3 would be my top US pick if they showed up...

On the mens side, I think I'll pick Mikell - He's in shape, (unless he's hit the bottle hard since WOC :) and the navigation is intense.

Women: Kata, Peggy, ??

Have a great weekend!

:) Heh. Probably not this weekend - will bring it along though just in case. Forecast right now is for some light snow showers, or at least some cold rain showers, so that will dictate clothing. I did wear it in the Night-O champs and it seemed to work.

William, Sergei, Mikell, Eric for the men.
Katarina for the women.

Erin isn't coming - she was at the Highlander to cheer a little and to hand over her US Champs trophy from last year so it can be passed on at the Champs this week-end.

JDW:
Mikell, Eddie, William
Peggy (the only one I know...)

I'll pick lots of names so there is a better chance of getting one right.
Will H., Eddie, Mikell, Eric, Boris, James. Assumes that Boris' ankle is better and Eric is recovered from adventure race. I also expect Wil Smith to be up there, but am pretty sure he is ineligible. Put him 3rd just behind Eddie.
For the women, I haven't a clue.
Peggy, Katrina, Yekaterina, Penny

Tundra/Desert:
My estimate of men's WRE points is about 940 for the winner (Swampfox), going down about 20 per minute. I think these are quite representative points for those of you in the mid-high placings. My calculations may be a bit off, so wait for the official points on the IOF site. There were not enough ranked women to award WRE points.

Tundra/Desert:
The WRE points have been posted on the IOF page. They used to take all people with any points into calculation before, not just those with (average points) >= 600 (note: average means of all races that scored > 0 points, not just your top 4). It appears they no longer do. Hence, fewer points to the winner and everyone. I.e. you don't benefit from beating Mark Prior.

But still, a lot of people are now with points > 600! Three WREs next year! (disclaimer: pending). Let's all go get some points!
