Discussion: Mappers wanted in Yukon

Yukon Orienteering Association is seeking mapper(s) for the summer 2009, to help us prepare maps for major races to be held in 2011. We have 6 distinct mapping projects, 5 of which are primarily revising and updating existing orienteering maps to current standards. A 6th area includes new fieldwork from a photogrammetric base map. Areas range in size from 1.5 sq. km (to be mapped as an urban/forest ISSOM sprint map) to 6 sq. km. Three areas are in Whitehorse itself, three areas are nearby. Mappers must be willing to commit to a minimum of 5-6 weeks worth of work if remuneration for travel to Whitehorse is expected.
