First, the information on the MNOC website seems to be suspect, i.e. the Two Lakes campground they recommend isn't taking reservations, the Namekagon campground is (unless I've just been scammed by the Reserve USA website). I haven't looked into the information on the other National Forest campground or the KOA campground.
That said, as last year, I've reserved a site (number 14 - beachfront site in case you can stand the water temperature in October) at the Namekagon Lake campground and it is permitted to accomodate up to three vehicles and up to eight persons camping in tents. Would anyone like to join me?
Also, if anyone camping wants to share a rental car from Minneapolis-St. Paul, I'll be flying in on Friday at 11am and out again on Sunday at 6:30pm.

Hi Jon,
The recommendations on the MNOC webpage were based on the closing dates listed on the Forest Service webpage, which unfortunately are wrong.
Despite listing Two Lakes as open until 10/23, it actually closed yesterday!
So, Lake Namekagon is the place to camp. Information at:

Reservations at:

(note: the last / is required for the link to work)

Ps. the MNOC webpage will be updated shortly.
