Sounds like a great weekend and a great idea! Thank you for benifiting the US team with this event! We team members should be willing to help if available... let us know what we can do!

Thanks Sandra, actualy I would like to see as manny as possible team members, sign up for the event, and I will keep a periodicaly updated list of participants, in which race(s)( as they did at the Billygoat weekend), after midd. June and that should be a stimulent for others to come out and that would be the greatest help, but of course, I wouldn't refuse anybody's help, if needed at the event with adm. tasks, start, finish and whatever.

Hi, What date are you planning? 10/23-24 or 9/17-19? Both are mentioned. Sounds like a fun weekend.

Excellent Mihai - hope we can make it.
For those that don't know Mihai has run in two of GHO's Adventure Runs - the event that inspired his Tumble Run. Last autumn Mihai hooked up with Nick Duca and won the Raid the Hammer Adventure Run. This spring he was 2nd in the Giant's Rib Raid.

The Dontgetlost.ca Adventure Runs are ~25km races with a winning time of about 3 hours. Adventure Running is a hybrid of orienteering, trail running, and adventure racing and brings together top athletes in each of the core sports - but the orienteers dominate!

This November 14th - RAID THE HAMMER!
Registration for this autumn's Raid the Hammer will open in May. The race takes place in the Dundas Valley (site of the 1986 World Cup). We expect to sell out the 100 teams of 3 this year so register early. The cost per team of 3 is $150 CAD before mid June (cost includes free toque, gels, all maps, post race hot meal, access to sauna/showers post race and in-race food). If there is interest in the orienteering community then we will add a short race on the Saturday. For more info visit:
www.dontgetlost.ca/raid
(By the way, "The Hammer" is another name for Hamilton, Ontario).
